Welcome – SuperRetro.Net is online!

We aim to bring you the best of yesterday and the best of those which look like yesterday. A site filled to the brim with retro games and classic gameplay, from coin op Donkey Kong to legendary text adventure The Hobbit. We have old school games from the eighties and ninetees, made for computers and consoles, as well as many neoretro games, based on original gameplay or graphics from the past. Some games are remakes, usually made with flash or java, but some are originals which no longer are considered to make profit and are considered abandonware. The goal is to make as many people as possible rediscover the classics which was originally played on Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, Atari 2600, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis/Megadrive, NES or coin-op arcade machines and make a new generation aware of the level of entertainment these old school games has in store for gamers of all ages.

SuperRetro.Net employs emulators, such as the Commodore 64 emulator JaC64, Nintendo Entertainment System emulator vNes and the ZX Spectrum emulator JX-Speccy, to optimise your gaming experience. We also use the excellent Super NES emulator by KryptonWare to allow SNES games to be played.

We have in our game library, an original copy of every rom being played in an emulator, unless it’s freeware, or the copyright holder has given permission for free distribution.
